This place is pretty gangster.
Fresh fish, live uni and a dynamite happy hour all featured prominently on the ground floor of K-Town’s City Center shopping mall. EMC is fun enough for a young crowd and fresh enough for the fancy. Also, newly open for lunch – see unpublished menu below.
Don’t let Boss go without a reservation. The place gets packed and loud and they don’t (officially) reserve for parties of five or less; butter up the friendly staff to avoid a potential 20 minute – 3 hour wait.
Boss shouldn’t leave without trying the Uni Pasta made with cream, fish roe, chives and dried seaweed. Watching the uni melt into perfectly cooked spaghetti makes it a worthwhile indulgence.
If this is date #1-5 or a formal business meeting, avoid the crab, shrimp and lobster plates – all delightful but messy, crack-what-you-eat ordeals. Splurge on the special oyster sauce – a Truffle Ponzu with Flying Fish Roe that’s well-worth the extra $3.00. Save the excess and drizzle onto your lobster roll. Seriously, go crazy.
Assistants, happy hour runs daily from 4-7pm and features $1 oysters and $5 draft beer. That’s two beers and 10 oysters for $20.00. Not to mention the flatscreen over the bar playing the game and a projector blasting old Kung-fu movies. Plus, there’s a karaoke bar in the mall upstairs. Night out anyone?
